The Food Pantry:

Columbia United Methodist Church operates a Food Pantry out of our main office.  The Pantry is funded and supplied by our members and other local community givers. Each month, on average, we give out 35 full brown bags of groceries to individuals and families in need of assistance.

A typical bag of groceries contains cereal or oatmeal, canned goods, peanut butter and jelly, canned meats, bagged beans and rice, soups and chili, various hygiene products, and meat or homemade frozen meals if available. Diapers, formula, and baby food are also usually available upon request.

Our Food Pantry volunteers care greatly about this mission and work hard to make all who visit feel loved, cared for, and welcome. They will pray with you if you ask. They will offer you hot coffee. They will invite you to church and include a simple devotional in your bag. Your attendance here is never a requirement, but of course, we’d love to have you come worship with us!

We are all God’s children, and our “soul purpose” in providing a stable and stocked Food Pantry is to truly love our neighbors and help our community.  If we can help you and your family, come in and let us know. You’re welcome here.
